» The Breathtaking adventure from inside the Iguassu Falls
The gigantic power of its massive water falls constantly roaring in a huge moisting cloud and painting the horizon with mellow rainbows is one of the most magnificent natural spectacle on earth, which makes us realize how tiny we are in front of its force. For those seeking for adventure, a concrete platform allows breathtaking views from inside the falls. Among the various local tours, the Macuco Safari and a visit to the Bird's Park are strongly recommended.
» The Brazilian side of the Falls
ust 5 min from Das Cataratas hotel, one may get to the marvelous Brazilian falls, by walking through the wooden footbridges elevated over the river. Take photographs of the breathtaking panoramic views from the observation deck. A 40 min walk to admire the series of astonishing cascades up to the foot of "Floriano Fall". At the end of the path, an elevator brings visitors up, where they can walk back to hotel.
» The Argentinean side of the Falls
Crossing the Tancredo Neves bridge in the Iguaçú River, we get into the Argentinean National Park - a very nice ride through exuberant tropical flora. Guests are invited to come very closed to the falls, up to the famous Devil's Throat, the most impressive of the water falls, surrounded by deep jungle and different rare species of tropical birds and animals. A fantastic scenery decorated with rainbows appearing here and there, from the reflect of the numberous falls and the sparkling spray of their water show. Inside the Park, visitors may choose among several tracks leading to exciting sights between the different falls, to admire them from above or from bellow.
» The Macuco Safari boat adventure
A trail in the Brazilian National Park, just 3km from the Iguassú Falls.Open-air wagons pulled by jeeps, accompanied by bilingual guides allow an unhindered view of this lush, sub-tropical, intact ecosystem rich of rare birds, mammals, orchids and epiphytes. After a short ride, hikking down the canyon where the Macuco Falls tumble over basalt cliffs into the Iguassú Basin. On the bord of the river, embark on specially designed inflatable boats, for a 20-30 minute ride up into the canyon, the real border between the Brazilian and Argentinean National Parks. This is an amazing experience for those seeking for adventure.
» The Itaipú Dam
There is no technical project in the world to be compared to the "Hydroelectric Power Plant of Itaipú", a gigantic dam that is 196m height and 8km long, with 18 immense turbines producing a total of 12, 6 MW - per year 76 billion KW/h - enough energy to supply 6 Brazilian states besides the whole country of Paraguay. Visitors with technical interest surely will appreciate this trip guided partly by Itaipú technicians. Technical visits to the interior of the turbines and administration bureau can be arranged upon request.
» Folkloric Show
There is no technical project in Dine in a typical Brazilian barbecue restaurant with large selection of salads and charcoal-broiled meats and see a show of typical a musicians and performers showing the influences of the three frontiers between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
